| Pool Solar Blankets
When summer finally arrives, pool owners across the country get excited about their early morning swims. Taking a dip or knocking out a few laps is, after all, a great way to start the day. The majority of these eager swimmers run into a problem, though. When they head out to the backyard, they find that the pool hasn't warmed up from the night before.
Using a solar blanket is a simple, relatively inexpensive way to combat this problem. A solar blanket attracts the sun's rays, and allows the pool to heat up faster in the morning. If the blanket is put in place while the sun is still shining, the pool will retain much of its heat from the previous day, making it comfortable for anyone who wants to get an early start.
Extending the Swimming Season
We at Midwest Pools realize that the swimming season is always in jeopardy of being cut short in the Midwestern states. The occasional September freeze or late April snowfall can eliminate several weeks of solid swimming time. That is why we carry high-quality solar blankets that can actually be used to extend the swimming season.
When a solar blanket is put in place, it will gather heat and spread that heat to the pool. This means that even as temperatures start to dip, the pool will remain at a comfortable temperature. As helpful as solar blankets can be, they are not replacements for heaters. When it gets cold, the best blanket in the world won't be able to warm the pool up enough for the average person to go swimming. |
